The Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP) has awarded this program a total of 25 CEUs. Each module offers between 1 and 1.5 credits.
Quiz and Evaluation
In order to be eligible for continuing education credits, pharmacists must read a chapter and complete the related Quiz. Each chapter should take approximately 60 minutes to read. Each quiz includes between 5 and 7 questions. The passing grade is 70%. Participants must also complete the mandatory per chapter program evaluation. Please note that you are permitted only one attempt at the quiz for each chapter. Upon successful completion of a chapter, you will receive the calculated amount of CEUs for that chapter and your Letter of Attendance will be available for download.
You will have an opportunity to accumulate credits by moving to the next chapter.
Accreditation of this program is recognized by CCCEP under the file number #1614-2021-3208-I-P ONTARGET until May 27th 2024.
Expiry date
As of May 27th, 2024, this program will expire. You will not be able to obtain any credits once the program has expired.
Program Learning Objectives
The goal of this resource program is to help pharmacists and other healthcare professionals confidently assess and manage the common adverse events that targeted cancer therapies may induce in patients with cancer.
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Identify the key molecular targets of medications used for the treatment of cancer
- Identify the common adverse events of targeted cancer therapies, based on their specific target and the common adverse events of individual therapies
- Assess symptoms and apply the most appropriate management strategies to minimize impact on the patient's quality of life
- Educate and inform your patients about potential common adverse events
- Make appropriate referrals to oncologists or other healthcare professionals, when required
